In 2023, OpenAI abandoned its own AI content detector due to its low accuracy rate of only 26%.
“In our evaluations on a ‘challenge set’ of English texts, our classifier correctly identifies 26% of AI-written text (true positives) as “likely AI-written,” while incorrectly labeling human-written text as AI-written 9% of the time (false positives),” they stated.
OpenAI acknowledged years before the curve what is now widely known to be true: post-production AI content detectors are prone to failure.

In 2025, ChatGPT Zero (which boasts the highest accuracy and reliability among seven other AI content detectors) acknowledged its own limitations in a disclaimer: “Our classifier is not trained to identify AI-generated text after it has been heavily modified after generation…Currently, our classifier can sometimes flag other machine-generated or highly procedural text as AI-generated, and as such, should be used on more descriptive portions of text.”
Live monitoring of the crafting process is the way forward if you want to (1) prove that your content was produced without generative-AI or (2) be assured that the content you receive was produced without generative-AI.
Our patent-pending system does both. The world needs Human Creative’s Certified Human Content(TM) certification and seal system.
P.S. This post was written without the use of generative-AI. But wouldn’t you like to know for sure…?
